We have some exciting news here at SmallStocks today – we welcome the New Year with a completely redesigned and reformated Forum Area. Now you can not only chat about stocks, but we have redone the forum so you can also create a blog, post articles and thoughts, create groups, post status updates and so much more!

At the moment, the site has the same design and so forth as Small Stocks, but this is going to change slowly over the coming weeks when I get time to implement a new design on it. Basically, Market News is going to look at “saving money” more so than just a general analysis on the ASX Market. So this site will have more posts relating to reducing debt, managing credit, money saving tips, finance tips, strategies towards obtaining financial freedom and so forth. I created it basically to give me a different release and focus from the ASX and the ‘pure’ nature of stock trading.

It’s not all that exciting at the moment, but rest assured that when I give it a new coat of paint – it will get there. I’ll drop an update post regarding this site when its ready For now, enjoy it as it is! Market News

The forum has been custom built so we have a number of unique features that we hope you will enjoy. The forum is completely free to Join and the more great discussion that we can get, the more it will enable me to post articles on investing and stock education.

Now SmallStocks, is a place for me to post and share my knowledge of the Stock Market with the greater investment community. I have spent many thousands of hours studying the entire financial arena and I thought I would create a place to share all this knowledge. I pretty much post a new topic when I find something interesting or I read something that I feel like sharing. I am always happy to receive emails and answer questions about investing, in addition to extending the knowledge of others. If you think something I’ve written is wrong, or don’t like something – drop a comment on the article and I’ll respond. I never block comments unless they are just plain abusive and nonconstructive, or are just outright SPAM.

I honestly believe that everyone should be given the chance to be financially independent and free of debt and liability. Becoming an investor is not a science nor is it hard, it’s just a realization, understanding and awareness that the economy which surrounds us all is fundamental to all our lives whether we like it or not.
